The Learning Support Program assists students experiencing difficulties in the classroom. A number of fulltime, specialised teaching staff work in collaboration with classroom teachers and school based Speech and Occupational Therapists to provide students with modified and differentiated programs targeted at a boy's point of need. A nurturing, systematic approach is taken to ensure accurate diagnosis of needs, participation and achievement for all learning support students.
Specific programs are established and students are seen individually or in a small group. Student's individual programs are reviewed regularly to monitor learning and improvement. Early intervention is a key component of our philosophy. Our early stage programs focus on the acquisition of literacy skills.
